If you’re new to Parramatta, this should be your first stop. If you came by ferry, might as well enjoy the river walk going to the centre.

“The Visitor Centre is housed in the same building as the Parramatta Heritage Centre. Together, these two venues provide an ideal starting point for your visit to Parramatta.
For those arriving by ferry, head west after alighting at the Rivercat wharf and take the riverwalk up to Lennox Bridge. We are a short ten minute walk away.
We can help you with guidebooks, maps and local knowledge. The centre’s helpful and professional staff know each and every corner of the city; where to find the best food, the best shopping, the best galleries, and the best heritage sites.”
